NHS and ambulance staff strike on the same for the first time.
At the picket line cars we beeping their horns in support.
A nurse, who did not want to be named, said: "We are here to save lives, people don't seem to understand that, sometimes we get shouted at for not arranging people's transport home, it's not our responsibility."
So is the nation safe with both the NHS Nurses and Ambulance staff striking at the same time?
Sue Mills, a nurse at Royal Bournemouth Hospital, said: "We are making sure wards are safe. The hospital has been better staffed on strike days and under staffed on non-strike days. There are less numbers, on normal days it's not safe."
In February NHS nurses are strike 6th and 7th, ambulance staff are striking 6th, 10th, and 20th.
